Gambling in Games Awareness

Gambling in Games Awareness

The campaign has been designed to be targeted at parents through it’s visual acuity for awareness and via the association of parody games characters, who have fallen into a downward spiral of addiction. The characters relevance is that they come from a time which parents will recognise from the 80’s and 90’s. These characters are now being presented in the modern day as gambling addicts. ‘Dan’ is the mascot for the campaign and  he has been designed to be a protector for children and an informant to parents on the dangers presented from gambling mechanisms, in online games.

WHATS RADICAL

Whats Radical is an awareness campaign aimed at drawing people to the main website (whatsradical.com) to obtain information about the fundamental causes of radicalisation. In addition I created a range of social media adverts and posters with quotes to give an idea of what radical issue the images relate to. The website provides resources on radicalisation and academic research aimed at students, teachers and parents. Anyone can sign up and create an account and the log-in is to ensure we can catagorise materials to suit the individual, as well as effectively market to them through email. Anyone can access our blog through the homepage with articles aimed at providing a general overview on the causes of radicalisation, this doesn’t require an account.

Architectonics

This brief was set by ‘Field’, a design agency based in Sheffield. The idea was to create a sense of space through graphic design. The show was for Architecture and Interior design graduates, so my idea was ‘Architectonics’ which means the science behind Architecture. A logo, show wayfinding and a website template were the main requirements of the brief.

Descent

Descent

I created Descent for a corporate identity brief. The project contains a manual which shows the way Descent’s identity is placed. I wanted the brand to emulate that of current ones which have that high octane feel and especially link to downhill mountain biking. I wanted to make the company a brand which caters to education and training within trail centres, merchandise from bikes to clothing and event sponsorship.

Room

The brief was to brand a contemporary furniture company for launch in Sheffield in June 2017. What I wanted to do was to avoid the various furniture brands you see who are about flamboyance and elegance and over hype their worth. I wanted to create a company which is about the items and the taste of any person wanting to buy into the products and brand values. It’s not about wealth but a focus on ‘FURNITURE for THEN, NOW and TOMORROW’. The brochure has been designed in a concertina format around the size of a business card.

Box of Chocolate Memories

‘Box of Chocolate Memories’ came from an advertising brief set by ‘The Grown Up Chocolate Company’ for YCN. I wanted to give the company a way for customers to interact with creating a personalised set of chocolate bars on their e – commerce site. I made a way for customers to add a range of interactive design elements, including a way to set photos in a Polaroid style template.

Create Britain

Create Britain

This brief was to create a magazine that would identify the things that make Great Britain ‘great’. I chose to look at the revolution of the ‘House’ music scene that showed up in the UK in the late 80’s. The scene took the UK by storm, became uncontrollable due to the mass amount of people attending and carved a pathway for many different sub genres across UK British dance music.

Sheffield’s Got it Made

Sheffield’s Got it Made

This project was to represent Sheffield during Sheffield design week. I came up with an idea that played on the fact that Sheffield has it made in so many ways from the urban living, easy rural escapes, Sport/University facilities and creativity. I created a flag with my own custom typeface that could capture certain elements that make Sheffield what it is, with a range of promotional material alongside.
